Integration

Psychotherapist | Sacred Medicine Integration Specialist | Transpersonal Guide | Relationship & Intimacy Coach

Amaia Oiz is a licensed psychotherapist, transpersonal practitioner, relationship and intimacy coach, tantrika, classical yogini, and conscious sacred sexuality educator with over 12 years of private practice experience guiding individuals and couples through profound healing and transformation.

Her professional integration journey began at an ayahuasca healing center in the Peruvian Amazon, where she worked alongside traditional shamans and multidisciplinary healing teams, supporting people from around the world through sacred medicine experiences and their integration. This formative work established the foundation of her approach: honoring the profound potential of expanded states of consciousness while recognizing that lasting transformation requires the conscious embodiment of what has been revealed.

Her work bridges Western psychology, depth psychology, trauma-informed practice, cultural competency, attachment theory, classical yoga philosophy, and spiritual traditions. Rooted in the Heart Path of Loving Awareness associated with Ram Dass, and informed by decades of yogic study and practice, Amaia brings together psychological insight, spiritual wisdom, and the intelligence of the body.

For more than a decade, she has supported people in integrating mystical experiences, spiritual awakenings, sacred medicine journeys, and Kundalini activations. Her approach helps individuals move beyond intellectual understanding and spiritual insight toward embodied awareness, relational healing, emotional maturity, and meaningful changes in how they live and love.

At the heart of her work is a devotion to helping people remember their authentic nature, heal toxic patterns that separate them from themselves and others, and cultivate the conscious, loving awareness our world so deeply needs.

Integration: Where Experience Becomes Transformation

The experience may open the door. Integration is how we learn to walk through it.

Sacred medicine, entheogens, mystical experiences, and intensive depth work can reveal extraordinary dimensions of consciousness. They may illuminate unconscious patterns, uncover deeply held wounds, past life remembering, and offer profound insights into the nature of ourselves, our relationships, and existence itself.

Yet an extraordinary experience does not necessarily produce extraordinary change.

In the growing culture surrounding sacred medicine and transformational retreats, integration is sometimes confused with post-retreat self-care. Rest, time in nature, nourishing food, solitude, and gentle nervous system regulation are valuable and often essential for recovery and stabilization. But restoration is not the same as integration.

Integration is an intentional, ongoing psychological, somatic, spiritual, and relational process through which the insights and experiences of expanded consciousness become incorporated into everyday life. It involves making meaning of what emerged, examining unconscious material, tending to open wounds, recognizing conditioned beliefs, and translating new awareness into choices, behaviors, relationships, and ways of being.

A powerful vision, spiritual revelation, or profound moment of knowing may create the opportunity for transformation. But insight alone does not necessarily reorganize our attachment patterns, heal relational wounds, change habitual responses, or deepen our capacity for intimacy and conscious living.

In this sense, integration can be more consequential than the vision, or breakthrough itself. Without it, we risk becoming collectors of extraordinary experiences, continually seeking the next revelation while remaining largely unchanged in our ordinary lives.

Integration invites us to ask not simply “What did I experience?” but “What is this experience asking me to understand, heal, practice, release, or become?”

This work may include therapeutic reflection, somatic processing, nervous system support, exploration of unconscious and relational patterns, spiritual discernment, and the development of practical commitments that support lasting change. It also requires patience, because meaningful transformation is rarely linear and cannot be measured solely by the intensity of an experience.

At its deepest level, integration is the bridge between awakening, embodiment, and transformation. It is the process of psychospritual development, where awareness becomes responsibility, and where the wisdom encountered in extraordinary states begins to express itself in ordinary moments.

The measure of transformation is not how profoundly we were moved during a ceremony, but how consciously we live afterward: how we relate, how we love, how we respond to suffering, and how we participate in the world.

We do not integrate merely to remember what we experienced. We integrate so that what we experienced can meaningfully change how we live.

Cancellation Policy

As much as I value and honor your uniqueness, I also recognize the importance of time and commitment in the healing process. I understand that life can be unpredictable, and unforeseen circumstances may arise, leading to the need for appointment changes. However, to ensure that I can continue to serve all of my incredible clients effectively, I have a cancelation policy in place. I kindly request that any appointment changes or cancelations be made at least 48 hours in advance. This advanced notice allows me to offer your time slot to others who may be eagerly seeking support on their own healing journeys. By adhering to this policy, you not only demonstrate consideration for your fellow humans but also help create a nurturing environment for everyone involved. Cancelations in less than 48 hours will result in the full cost of your session.
